"Phaya Nak Goes to the West" now available online at Uncanny Magazine

My poem "Phaya Nak Goes to the West" is now available online at Uncanny Magazine!
Thanks everyone for all of your continued support!

As you can imagine, this poem takes its inspiration from the Phaya Nak, or Naga king of traditional Lao and Buddhist mythology. A significant part of the inquiry is how creatures considered wise, magical, and beautiful in Asia tend to become horrid monsters in Europe and the Americas, such as the Kinnaly, the dragons, or the Kirin.

Uncanny Magazine is currently holding their Year 3 Kickstarter with 7 days to go. They're successfully funded for next year but are now in Stretch Goal Mode with about $9,000 needed to cover all of their plans for the next year's batch. I strongly support their efforts because they go to great lengths to be inclusive and to accept challenging work. If you can help out before the deadline, I know everyone would appreciate it!
